Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student at her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time in order to make ends meet. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative path she might follow. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. However, she left before the band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. The main part of her role was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create the Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox was then able to begin work on her first solo album Diva and it was released around 1992. In both commercial terms and critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues and soul from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece of her "Now I let you go... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album.
